Using shelf with curl

Set T to your token first: T=…

upload

curl -T notes.txt -H "Authorization: Bearer $T" /docs/

A path ending in / makes curl append the filename, so this stores docs/notes.txt. An existing path is overwritten.

curl --data-binary @notes.txt -H "Authorization: Bearer $T" /notes.txt

fetch (public)

curl /docs/notes.txt

No token needed. Content type comes from the extension, else it is sniffed. Range and HEAD work.

delete

curl -X DELETE -H "Authorization: Bearer $T" /docs/notes.txt

list

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $T" /_/list

One line per file: size⇥mtime⇥path.

rules

Everything on the shelf is public to anyone who knows or guesses its URL. The token is only needed to upload, delete and list.

Paths: any UTF-8 except control characters. No empty, . or .. segments, no trailing /; a first segment _ is reserved. At most 255 bytes as stored, where every character other than A-Z a-z 0-9 counts 4 (non-ASCII: 4 per UTF-8 byte).

Files stay on disk until deleted. There is a size cap per file and in total; a full shelf rejects uploads, nothing is ever evicted.

This page never stores the token: it is read from the field for each request, so paste it again after a reload. Do not save it in a password manager for this site: an uploaded page on the same site could have it filled in.
